Berber carpet is made from thick loops of yarn and is very durable. With a more casual look, this style will work in any setting, however, most prefer its use in high-traffic areas. You will likely see this style in a solid color or lighter brown/gray color with flecks of darker colors.
Pattern
Pattern, or Cut and Loop style carpet works well if you want a contemporary look. It’s cut and loop style allows for geometrical shapes, linear and square grids and other simple patterns to accent a solid color piece of furniture.
Indoor/Outdoor
Indoor/Outdoor carpet is great for a covered, outdoor room such as a screened-in deck or sunroom. It looks a lot like indoor carpet but handles moisture, color fading, and high foot traffic a lot better.
